Review- The Iron daughter

The Iron Daughter (The Iron Fey, #2)

Title: The Iron Princess (Iron Fey #2)
Author: Julie Kagawa

Summary:
Half Summer faery princess, half human, Meghan has never fit in anywhere. Deserted by the Winter prince she thought loved her, she is prisoner to the Winter faery queen. As war looms between Summer and Winter, Meghan knows that the real danger comes from the Iron fey—ironbound faeries that only she and her absent prince have seen. But no one believes her.
Worse, Meghan's own fey powers have been cut off. She's stuck in Faery with only her wits for help. Trusting anyone would be foolish. Trusting a seeming traitor could be deadly. But even as she grows a backbone of iron, Meghan can't help but hear the whispers of longing in her all-too-human heart.

Review:
Again, the action starts right away. This book starts right where the first stopped and continued Meghans journey in finding and destroying the Iron Fey. The problem: No one believes they are real.
The read was fast paced and fun.
The book starts with The Scepter of the Seasons being stolen right after the Summer court delivers it to the Winter court-for balance. The Iron fey have stolen it, and now its up to Puck, Prince Ash and Meghan to retrieve it and basically save the world.
I will say that Im glad Ironhorse was in this one, but I wasn’t super surprised by the “twist”. It was obvious when you looked at everything Ironhorse said and the way Meghan had Iron glamour as well. BUT- I would have liked more explanation as to WHY it ended up that way. How did Meghan get Iron Glamour too? Because she killed Machina in the first book?
I also want to mention Grimalkin- (kinda like the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland) Because though he can be deceptive and annoying, he always shows up to help and add humor to the tale.
The love triangle was apparent in this book, much more so than the first. And it is kinda hard to choose between the two boys. The Ash/Meghan romance was still too underdeveloped for my liking. Puck is awesome and her best friend and they KNOW eachother, but I understand loving someone one way and loving them another. So I feel bad for Puck, but I understand the situation. What I want now is MORE between Ash and Meghan so that we can fight for him too, and not just Meghan (And with GOOD reason, not just because)
Overall, I really enjoyed the book, the writing, the plot, and the characters. My only issue again is the Meghan/Ash romance.
On to book #3- The Iron Queen
